In surprising news of the day, we can exclusively reveal that British women prefer Scottish totty David Tennant to hunky Taboo actor Tom Hardy. Yes, really!
According to a survey commissioned by gadget insurance company Row.co.uk, David is the number one TV star British women would pine for if their TVs suddenly stopped working (a situation that really doesn't bear thinking about!).
Just over 30 % of women said the former Doctor Who actor was the reason they switched on their TVs, compared to only 20% opting for Tom Hardy.
That’s a bit of a shock considering hunky Tom, is the current darling on the media with his rugged good looks and muscly tattooed physique.
So there’s hope for the less, erm, stacked men out there after all.
The same research also hailed The Moorside star Sheridan Smith as the nation’s favourite actress.
Over 20% of British men and woman named her as their favourite actress.
This is great news for Sheridan, who had a troubled 2016 due to losing her father to cancer in December.
The actress hit the headlines due to erratic behaviour last year, including several Twitter meltdowns and pulling out of her West End show, Funny Girl.
Hopefully this means 2017 is set to be Sheridan’s year.
