Strictly Come Dancing’s longest serving professional dancer has fired parting shots at her former employer, after she dramatically quit the show last week.

The 33-year-old told The Sun she was forced out by the show’s producers, and even claimed the judges rig the show to keep their preferred contestants in the competition.

Speaking in the searing interview, the married dancer- whose dancer husband James Jordan left the show last year, said:

"People are over-marked and under-marked.

“As a dancer, you can’t cheat me. I know who has been over-marked and who has been under-marked.

“All the pros talk about the marking. We ask each other, ‘What is all that about? Why are they trying to over-mark that person?’.

"In my opinion they know how many votes people scored in the previous weeks and then they try to influence their position on the leaderboard.

"If the show is not fair, it takes the fun out of it.”

A spokeperson for the BBC this morning described Jordan's claims as ‘nonsense’, adding:

"Any suggestion that the scores are "fixed" is nonsense.

"Each judge scores each dance independently, based on its merits and in their expert opinion."
