One Direction fans went through a roller coaster of emotions over the weekend, after one of their idols confirmed that he had become a father for the first time.
Louis Tomlinson announced on Twitter: "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday.
“He is healthy and pretty amazing.”
Unsurprisingly smitten with his baby boy, he added: “I’m very happy!"

And, while neither Louis nor Briana have confirmed their baby boy’s name, a new report has claimed that they’ve picked out an unusual unisex moniker for the tiny tot.
A source told The Sun: "Louis and Briana are yet to file a birth certificate but they've agreed on the name Sydney Rain.
"It will be rubber-stamped in the next five days."
The name Sydney means ‘from St. Denis in Normandy’, while the name Rain means ‘abundant blessings from above’ - both of which are pretty gorgeous monikers for the 1D star’s firstborn child!
However, while the child’s first and middle names have allegedly been decided, it's still undecided whether the tiny tot will take Louis or Briana's surname.
The new parents are, according to the same report, also still to arrange custody arrangements for their baby, as they are no longer romantically involved.
The insider added: "There's already a lot of talk about who is going to pay what."
