Congratulations are in order for BBC One presenter Alex Jones and her husband Charlie Thomson as they have revealed that they're expecting their second child together.

Alex, who is already a mum to one-year-old son Teddy, announced her exciting baby news on last night's episode of The One Show.

While presenting the show with her co-host Matt Baker, Alex said, "Now I have some news! No I haven't been eating all the mince pies! There is a little baby, look! I am expecting another baby."

Alex, 41, welcomed her first child in January 2017, a baby boy called Edward Alun Burrell Thomson, Teddy for short.

After asking viewers of The One Show for name suggesting and receiving over 1000 entries, Alex confirmed her baby boy's name by posting a photo of his birth certificate on Instagram. She wrote, 'Teddy Thomson is official. ❤️'.

The announcement of Alex's first pregnancy was also very sweet. The presenter tweeted and uploaded a photo on Instagram of a babygro with the words "Coming Soon" on the front along with the caption: "Charlie and I are very happy to confirm that we're expecting a little baby in the new year.

"Absolutely delighted and feel very lucky that we're about to become parents. #andbreatheout #newbabyalert"

Alex and Charlie met in 2011 and got married on New Year's Eve 2015.
