Last week, Katie Price made the shock confession on daytime TV show Loose Women that her marriage to Kieran Hayler is in serious trouble.
The former glamour model tearfully admitted that enduring a two-week book tour for her tell-all autobiography, Reborn, has forced her to relive the affairs that Kieran had with her two best friends in 2014.
Katie announced plans to quit her job on Loose Women to start intensive therapy with Kieran, admitting: "I thought I'd dealt with it… We are going to see a therapist to reassure us we're fine."
But insiders believe it is no coincidence that Katie's emotional revelation comes just a week after exclusive pictures showing her on a night out with Scotty T in Newcastle were published.
She has insisted the pair simply went for a sunbed. However, a source says: "Their marriage seems to be hanging by a thread.
"Kieran had no idea that Katie had been hanging out with Scotty and demanded to know what had happened.
"Friends aren't convinced therapy is the answer because things have reached such a knife-edge with the pair. But Katie and Kieran want to make it work for the kids."
