The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (better known by the adoring public as Prince William and Kate Middleton) have reportedly made sure to mark the anniversary of Princess Diana's death with baby George Louis Alexander.

According to new reports, William took his beautiful wife and baby son to visit the family of his late mother on the 16th anniversary of her death. And we imagine that Lady Sarah McCorquodale (Diana's eldest sister) was delighted to see the little family.

William is said to be especially close with his aunt, often spending his summers (along with Prince Harry) playing with his cousins as a child. So it makes sense that he hopes to encourage a similarly close family bond with his aunty and her great-nephew, baby George.

The 31st August marked the 16th anniversary of Princess Diana's death and, while William will always be affected by the loss of his mother, he now has a son of his own.

And, for the Duke, family will always be the most important thing:

“For me, Catherine, and now little George, are my priorities. And Lupo.”

We think spending time with his mother's family over the weekend was a beautiful and appropriate way to pay tribute to his mother.
