Rebekah Vardy has given birth to a healthy baby boy.

The happy news was announced on Twitter by England footballer Jamie Vardy, who gushed: “Over the moon to announce the arrival of our gorgeous little boy on Sunday evening! Mum and baby are doing great! @RebekahVardy #blessed.”

This is the second child for the couple who are already parents to 22-month old Sofia.

Rebekah is also mother to children Megan, 11, and Taylor, six, from previous relationships, and Jamie is father to daughter Ella, six, with ex Emma Dagger.

The new baby, whose name is yet to be revealed, was actually not due until January 21.

It was previously reported that Rebekah was due to have the child by C-section as he was breech.

The wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie recently showed she was family focussed when she hit out at Piers Morgan for calling her a WAG.

She told him during a television interview: “That’s so outdated. I’m not just a wife and girlfriend, I’m a mum.”

Despite enjoying her life as a parent, Rebekah will not be expanding her family with Jamie as he plans to have a vasectomy.

But it seems she’s very happy with her current situation after initially worrying her split from her exes and her new relationship with Jamie could effect her children.

Rebekah told The Sun: “It’s difficult entering into a new relationship when you have kids because you want to protect them, but your kids are so much happier when you as parents are happier.

“(Because) Jamie had children from a previous relationship, I think it made it a lot easier to see where each of us was coming from, and we were on the same wavelength.”
