The 34-year-old has been dating Hollyoaks actor Greg Wood since the beginning of the year, but her rant suggested she may be single again.
“Just been hurt by an idiot boy again but not gonna lower myself to his standards :) love & light [sic],” Sheridan wrote.
Cryptically Sheridan then referenced Greg’s co-star Tamara Wall, adding: “@tammiew loves the press but will she for long […] Let’s give @tammiew a big shout out coz she’s so honest & lovely [sic].”
One fan responded: “Please tell me he didn’t cheat with her?”
The bizarre tweets were swiftly deleted, but not before they attracted a lot of attention. Following the speculation that they were aimed at him, Sheridan seemed to deny they were about Greg, tweeting: “Who said I was talking about Greg [sic].”
Unlucky-in-love Sheridan’s relationship with Greg hit the headlines in January, when it was reported he’d cheated on his wife of 10 years with the actress.
But Greg was quick to dismiss the claims, tweeting: “I am single, my ex and I separated last summer and are currently going though a divorce [sic].”
Despite the situation, it looks like Sheridan isn’t letting anything get her down. After removing the posts from her timeline, she wrote: “Onwards and upwards! Homeward bound! Can’t wait to see me dogs, loyal as anything :) [sic].”
Greg Wood has yet to comment on the tweets.
