Cilla actress Sheridan Smith is officially single after revealing her new relationship status on Twitter.
The star has split from boyfriend Andy Hopkins- who plays bass in band The Enemy- and made sure that EVERYONE knew she was back on the market.
She wrote (before swiftly deleting) on Twitter: "Single!!!! :)))) bring on funny girl, who's coming???!! Can't wait xxx (sic)"
One fan responded: "your not single? (sic)", Sheridan was quick to reply - and it seemed quite definitive” to which she quickly tweeted back: "I sure am :)bye boys!! X (sic)"
Sheridan, 34, appeared to have a change of heart and later removed the tweets from her timeline. The actress did, however, tweet a loving message to her family and friends for supporting her through her break up.
She wrote: "I am so grateful for all the support & love from my genuine friends, can't tell you what it means. Thank you for always having my back".
Sheridan started dating Andy several weeks ago and a source told The Sun newspaper that the outgoing actress was ‘persistent’ in her pursuit of him.
The insider said: "He was still getting over his last relationship so said no at first, but she was persistent. She kept messaging him on Twitter and by text and he eventually agreed to meet up.
“Straight away there was chemistry and they went on a number of dates."
Sounds like Sheridan needs a night out with the girls!
