Stacey Solomon has won a host of new fans since joining the Loose Women and hitting back at cruel body shamers who relentlessly target her and fellow celebs. And the natural beauty stood up for what she believes in yet again as the panel debated: how long should you keep your pregnancy a secret?

The 27-year-old star recalled the moment she discovered she was 21 weeks pregnant with her first son, Zachary, when she was only 17.

Stacey revealed: "My stepmum took me to the doctors and they told me I was 21 weeks pregnant. You know what it’s like when you’re young and have puppy fat, I really didn’t notice.

"I couldn't comprehend what was actually happening, I didn't have the time to do much about it, it was really overwhelming and really scary.

"I remember going to look at one of my options and I was sat on the bed at the clinic and my mum was at the other side of the monitor and she had no expression, but tears were streaming down her face."

Coleen Nolan chipped in to ask whether Stacey was at an abortion clinic and the mum-of-two confirmed she was.

Stacey went on to say she visited the clinic because she wanted to know how far her pregnancy had progressed and what options were available. She admitted she was young and naive, and didn’t understand what kind of emotional turmoil she was in for.

Speaking about the moment she decided on her baby’s future, she said: "As soon as I looked at my mum I thought, 'Oh thanks mum, there's no way I can go through with this now’, she was just in streams."

Aware that’s she’s role model to a lot of young woman who might be faced with a similar decision, Stacey was quick to point out that she would never judge a woman for having an abortion, noting that it’s very personal and should stay that way.

She added: "I get sick of people saying you shoudn’t do this or that. Why don’t I assess my situation and see where I’m at and then make an educated decision about what’s best for me."

Stacey went on to say she doesn't regret her own choices, despite her parent’s initial disappointment that she become a mother so young.

She said: "They are so supportive, always have been ever since I had Zachary but they were really disappointed for me.

"I think they saw I had a lot of potential, I was at college and I was studying and they were like, 'What are you going to do now? You are never going to fulfil your dreams and do what you want to do as you've got a responsibility.'"

Being a mum certainly hasn’t hurt Stacey’s career, she’s now a regular on Loose Women and will soon co-host a I'm A Celebrity spinoff, "Extra Camp", alongside Vicky Pattison, Joe Swash and Chris Ramsey.

Stacey is also loved up with former Eastenders actor, Joe Swash, who surprised her with an unusual birthday gift - three pairs of trainers. Stacey joked that he might be hinting at her to “get active” when she was really hoping for a small, square box.

She told the panel: "I thought the third box might be a surprise. There were so many scenarios going round in my head. But it was just three boxes of trainers."

Come on Joe, put a ring on it!
