Steven and Alex Gerrard have welcomed a baby boy together.
The footballer and his wife are already parents to daughters Lilly-Ella, 13, Lexie, 10, and Lourdes, five, and they now have a male addition to their family.
Alex gave birth in the early hours of the morning on Saturday 29 April and they named their new son Lio George Gerrard.
Announcing the happy news on Instagram, Steven wrote: “Lio George Gerrard was born this morning at 4.55am. Both are doing great. Our family is complete.”
Alex announced she was pregnant with an excited post on Twitter las year, writing: “We are all very excited for our new baby to arrive next year!! Number 4. Thank you to everyone for all your lovely messages.”
She has previously spoken of her husband’s wish to have a son but admitted she didn’t think it would happen.
Alex told Hello! magazine: “I know Steven has said before he would like one but the chances of us having one is slim with having three girls.
“He laughs and says he can’t risk it - it’s going to cost him a fortune in weddings if we have another girl!”
