Congratulations are in order for Sugababes singer Siobhan Donaghy - she has given birth to a baby boy.

The warbler, who was part of the original formation of the band, shared a picture of herself and the newborn on Instagram at the weekend after welcoming him to the world earlier this month.

And she has given the little one an interesting new name: Ford Charles McCoy.

She captioned the snap on her social media page: “Welcome to the world little man. Ford Charles McCon - Aug 13th - 6lbs13.”

She was quickly sent congratulatory messages from many of her followers, with one person writing: “Congratulations to the sweetest boy and her mom! Health and happiness to the family!”

And someone else posted: “Congratulations! He’s beautiful!”

The former pop star announced she was expecting earlier this year after posting a picture of herself showing a visible baby bump online.

She wrote: “Working on a little something for the summer,” adding a baby emoji.

Siobhan married sailor Chris McCoy in 2013 and her former bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena were at the ceremony.

Posting a picture of herself with the bride at the time on Twitter, Keisha wrote: “The most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen! Siobhan I’m so proud of u, love u 2 bits. Chris ur amazing! Mir and Mrs McCoy!”
