Thandie Newton has sparked a huge debate on social media after posing for a picture while breastfeeding her son.

The actress has been enjoying Latitude Festival in Suffolk with her family and looked happy as she held her two-year-old Booker close to her chest.

Posting the picture on Instagram, she wrote: “Perfect happiness @latitudefest. This is what my body is made for. And the rest is my choice.”

In the picture she can be seen with her top pulled down as she smiles at the camera.

However, not everyone reacted in a positive way with many criticising her.

One person commented: “Nobody wants to see that!”

Another added: “Why must you be so exposed at what looks like a family event?”

However, many disagreed, with another person writing: “Sad that we live in a sick world where breasts are seen as sex symbols and not for feeding babies.”

Someone else wrote: “Most natural thing in the world and absolutely beautiful.”
