After months of negative reports about Victoria and David Beckham’s 16-year marriage, they put on a show of unity at the British Fashion Awards last week in matching black suits.
But Victoria, 41, appeared anxious and strained as she posed for photographers. According to insiders, the fashion designer was on edge all evening because she felt under pressure to put on a show of normality for the cameras and to prove to people that their marriage is as strong as ever.
A source says: “Victoria’s always anxious at big award shows as she’s naturally a shy person, and she knew that she and David would be particularly scrunitised on that night as it’s the first big public event they’ve been to together since the rumours of a rift between them started.
