Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham returned to his old club to play in the Match for Children – and was joined by his 16-year-old son Brooklyn.
Brooklyn came on as a sub for his 40-year-old dad 15 minutes towards the end of the game, in a moment that made our hearts melt.
He told the Telegraph: “I wasn’t meant to join him but Sol [Campbell] came off. Having Brooklyn out there was special.
“One of my lasting memories is winning the title and walking around with Brooklyn when he was 18 months. It was incredible. I’m very proud of what we achieved. It’s been a special day.”
Before the final game at Old Trafford on Saturday, David embarked on a 7 games in 7 continents challenge – which saw him play in places including Africa, South America and Antarctica.
