Catherine Tyldesley is due to return to our screens as Coronation Street’s Eva Price later this year.
But, while many fans hoped that Eva and Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) might get back together, it seems as if a Weatherfield newcomer is set to catch her eye.
Yup, Shayne Ward’s hunky new character, Aidan Connor (a distant cousin of Michelle) is reportedly going to be Eva’s new cobbles crush.
And, speaking to The Sun, a pal of the actress explained that Catherine (happily engaged to Thomas Pitfield) is over the moon about the storyline.
They explained: “Like thousands of young girls she fell for Shayne and because he is a Manchester lad and she is a Manchester girl she loved him to bits.
“It will be an amazing dream come true for her to be pitched alongside him as a pair of lovers in Corrie."
We imagine Jason, who still holds a torch for his ex, isn’t going to be too happy to see her in the arms of another man.
He was the reason she left Machester in the first place, after he accused her of having an affair with his father, Tony Stewart.
However he has since learned that his half-brother Todd was responsible for starting the rumours - so maybe he will fight to win Eva back?
Either way, we’re VERY excited to hear that Catherine will be back from maternity leave soon. How about you?
