Soap weddings are never straight forward affairs - there’s almost always a dramatic twist to keep viewers on the edge of their seat.
So, Emmerdale fans could be in for a treat as it’s emerged scenes for someone’s big day have been filmed… but who’s getting married?
Claire Sweeney, of Brookside and Celebrity Big Brother fame, has teased her Twitter followers by sharing a picture of herself all dressed up for a wedding.
In the shadowy snap she can be seen wearing a fancy fascinator as she poses by a window at the wedding venue.
Along with the photo, she wrote: “On the set of Emmerdale attending a wedding, guess who’s? Lots of drama, my lips are sealed.”
Claire’s followers were quick to respond with congratulatory messages for Claire scoring a part in the soap but unfortunately she wasn’t on the set as part of the cast but was filming as a television presenter for another show.
The actress’s post was retweeted from the official Emmerdale Twitter account but there was no comment on who was getting married.
Boss Iain Macleod recently revealed that upcoming plots will “tilt the whole Emmerdale universe on its axis”.
And the cast are allegedly nervous they will get the chop as part of the plot lines.
A source told The Sun: “The cast of Emmerdale are starting to feel concerned for the show’s future as one by one of the regulars are leaving.
“There’s a real feeling of worry over the direction Emmerdale is taking and a lot of the blame is being put on exec producer Iain Macleod.
“He’s even been nicknamed Donald Trump by cast and producers because of his cutthroat attitude and the way he’s keen to focus on new signings, not long-standing cast members.
“Pasha Bocarie, who played Rakesh, made no secret that he quit the show over an unenjoyable change and it seems as though other stars are following suit and also leaving because of the change.”
