Michael Le Vell is best known to Coronation Street fans as Kevin Webster, but it seems as if the soap actor could be swapping the cobbles for the quarrels of the Celebrity big Brother House this year.

Michael, 49, went to rehab in March after he was found 'not guilty' on child abuse charges last year.

Corrie bosses stood by the actor - also an alcoholic - after he confessed to taking cocaine, saying he first snorted the class A drug in the traumatic weeks leading up to his child abuse trial.

He was cleared of all charges.

Now the Daily Star has reported that Channel 5 is believed to be in advance talks with Michael Le Vell on appearing in the CBB house.

The channel is understood to have also approached Corrie legend Bill Roach - Ken Barlow in the soap - to appear in the house, but that he declined.
