Coronation Street's very own tearaway school girl Summer Spellman will COLLAPSE after smoking the lethal drug 'spice' in shocking scenes to aired in the upcoming weeks.

13-year-old Summer, who is played by actress Matilda Freeman, is dared to smoke the 'zombie' drug by Simon Barlow, who finds the narcotics on the street.

In dramatic scenes, Summer, who is new to Weatherfield, collapses just minutes after smoking the drug.

Simon understandably panics when Summer suffers a bad reaction from inhaling the potent drug and seemingly didn't realise the drug was Spice.

Summer's guardian Billy will then confront Simon's dad Peter and punch him - which leads him to being arrested.

This and Summer's drug collapse puts the adoption process in jeopardy, as the couple are seen to be 'unsuitable parents'.

What is Spice? And why do people call it the 'zombie' drug?

Spice

Spice is made up of a wide range of laboratory-made chemicals designed to mimic the effects of marijuana. The 'zombie' drug however, can be 100x more potent and the combination of chemicals are changing all the time, so it's hard to know what exactly is in it.

The drug is called the 'zombie' drug as it makes users feel and behave like one. Matthew Nuttall, an ex-spice addict from Manchester, told Britain’s Metro newspaper: “You just feel braindead half the time. They say people look like zombies, and that’s how it feels.

Worrying stuff.
