Probably not, this is EastEnders after all…

Mick Carter’s dad, Buster Briggs (Karl Howman) has revealed that he is leaving EastEnders and has already filmed his final scenes.

Sob!

We’ve enjoyed two years of Buster, whom we originally met in Ramsgate when Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) - his childhood love - went AWOL after the shooting of Phil Mitchell.

Buster then returned to the square with his beloved Shirley and the rest is history!

Buster has had his fair share of storylines; he was revealed as Mick Carter’s father, tried to keep his rapist son Dean Wicks out of prison and has just embarked on a lustful affair with Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) behind Shirley’s back.

There were awkward scenes recently Kathy and Buster romped in a cheap hotel as police tried to contact Kathy to tell her that her youngest son Ben, had died.

We all know an EastEnders affair never leads to a happily ever after, but will Buster end up leaving the soap on his own?

Or will Shirley AND Kathy team up and make sure Buster sees his demise?

And with Grant Mitchell coming back to distract Sharon Mitchell, will Shirley seek comfort from Phil Mitchell?

Digital Spy are reporting that fans will see Buster making his final exit from E20 in a few weeks time.

Are you glad to see him go or were you enjoying the sizzling affair storyline?
