Time has almost run out for Mick Carter as the deadline for him paying the fine for serving alcohol out of hours is looming. Mick knows that if he doesn't pay up, he'll be going to prison, and how will he explain that to Linda? While the thought of Mick behind bars doesn't fill us with joy AT ALL, it could be the perfect solution for EastEnders writers who are faced with re-writing scripts while Danny Dyer takes a short break from the show.

Tonight's episodes (yep, there's two) see Mick recieve an unexpected offer that could keep him from being locked up. But he shocks the rest of the Carters when he refuses to take it.

A prison sentence is looking likely for the pub landlord - and Johnny urges him to tell Linda the truth about Lee and all the problems at the pub. Mick has been pretending that all is well, even though he's in severe financial trouble.

Also tonight, Shirley warns Whitney to stay away from Mick. Maybe him being in jail is the only way to keep him out of her clutches!
