Will the Mitchell sister reunite for BBC?
Viewers of the BBC One show had to tragically say goodbye to the Mitchell sister on New Year's after they both drowned in a swimming pool on Ronnie's wedding night. However, it seems that Samantha Womack and Rita Simons could be returning to our screens soon if Strictly bosses have anything to do with it.
A Strictly insider spoke to The Sun about the duo joining the dancing show and admitted: "It's fair to say that people are keen to sign at least one of them and if at all possible both of the girls for the new series."

They added that following EastEnders fans who were outraged at the duo being killed off they're sure both actresses would be popular on the dance contest: "Signing them up would prove to be a sure fire ratings winner for the new series."
It wouldn't be a first time an EastEnders actor has joined Strictly Come Dancing. Over the years we've seen Jake Wood who plays Max Branning, Tameka Empson whose onscreen character is the bubbly Kim Fox and Kellie Bright aka Linda Carter take part in the show.

Viewers of EastEnders were left emotional on New Year's Day after the infamous Mitchell sister died in a swimming pool on Ronnie and Jack Branning's wedding day. After playing their characters for ten years Roxy suffered from a heart attack and then fell into the pool and Ronnie jumped in to save her sister but drowned because of the weight of her wedding dress.
Over the years the sister sure went through a lot. We saw Ronnie reunite with her long lost daughter Danielle who was then heartbreakingly killed off, she swap her son who passed away with Kat and Alfie Moon's baby and killed Carl White.
Roxy on the other hand inherited Archie Mitchell's estate, have a child with her sisters boyfriend – Jack - and became addicted to cocaine.
