We’re barely into 2017 and already a long-term EastEnders character is being lined up for an emotional cancer storyline. Well, that’s if this latest fan theory is correct.
Eagle-eyed fans have voiced concern for Ian Beale after noticing the restaurant owner hasn’t quite been himself recently.
In one scene last night (Thursday 2d February) Ian admitted he’d been up three times during the night to use the loo.
Later in the same episode, Aunt Babe accused him of being drunk after catching him snoozing on one of the tables in the pub.
Fans were quick to jump on the two symptoms and began speculating what could be wrong with the culinary king of Walford.
Prostate cancer and diabetes were among the possible reasons for Ian’s tiredness and regular trips to the gents.
Elsewhere, fans were FEWMIN at the Bealemeister for setting Mick up with a cowboy builder to sort out the leaks at the Vic.
Many people pointed out that Ian has a short memory – remembering how Mick took the blame for Ian’s kerb-crawling a couple of years ago.
