EastEnders fans have a theory about Dave the Cat and we think they might be on to something…

EastEnders fans have drawn their own conclusions about Dave the Cat after his involvement in Dot Branning's accident last night

Last night's EastEnders saw Walford legend Dot Branning take a nasty fall as she was apparently dirty tackled by Dave the Cat. She was taken out by the moggy while getting ready to go to Patrick Trueman's birthday shin-dig over at The Vic. But she never made it after being floored by Dave - who then casually left her lying in the kitchen. But was it a deliberate move by Dave? Viewers definitely think so...

Speculation that Dave is evil has been taking over Twitter, and there have even been suggestions that the puss is Dot's wrong'un son, Nick Cotton, reincarnated. We really think they could be onto something here - EastEnders love a back- from-the-dead storyline.

What do you think? Could we be looking at EastEnders next serial killer? Is Dave actually a vessel for Nick Cotton's evil soul? Are we getting a bit too dramatic over a cat?

One thing's for sure - he's definitely a wrong'un. Just look at those eyes...
