We all cried when Peggy Mitchell left our screens for good after battling with terminal cancer.

The Barbara Windsor character - well known for infamously saying “Get outta my pub” - took an overdose of pills to end her pain, and was visited by the spirit of her late friend Pat Butcher.

And now her daughter is set to return and cause a stir on the square.

Who’s excited? We are.

Next week Sam will be returning to Walford just before her mum's funeral - and her arrival is set to send some explosive ripples off across Albert Square.

First off, Sam (Danniella Westbrook)'s return will send Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) into a panic since he has barely made any contact with their child, Richard.

Wait, you don't know who Richard is? Cast your mind back a few years to when Sam was engaged to Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen), before embarking on an affair with Jack... and, yeah, falling pregnant with Jack’s baby/

Yup, that's Richard (Jack certainly loves those Mitchell ladies, doesn't he?) - and the buff Branning has barely made contact with either of them since they moved to Portugal in 2010 to live with Grant.

Sam will also shock her family when she drops the bombsehll that Grant won’t be attending their mum's funeral - especially when she reveals his reasons as to why.

And, because she’s a Mitchell, we’re generally expecting her to cause a lot of drama with the rest of the Walford residents.

Danniella Westbrook, who plays Sam Mitchell, has previously said on her return: “I’m really excited to be going back to Eastenders. It feels right the Mitchells are all back for Peggy’s funeral and I can’t wait to work alongside everyone again”.

Danniella will only be back on the square for four episodes, so make sure you don’t miss it.

Sam returns to Eastenders on Thursday June 30th at 7:30pm on BBC One.
