EastEnders - Grant Mitchell

EastEnders fans, Grant Mitchell WILL be returning to Albert Square…

… but it seems as if he won’t be alone.

Yup, Ross Kemp’s highly anticipated return to the BBC One soap is well underway - the Walford legend has even shared a photo of himself back on the set.

He captioned it: “Back on the square! #EastEnders #mitchellsreunited”

Not much is known about Grant’s return, although we do know that it will tie in with the death of his beloved mum, Peggy (Dame Barbara Windsor).

However, as always, there’s a LOT of drama surrounding Grant when he hits Albert Square.

He’s set to come face-to-face with not just his brother, Phil (Steve McFadden), but also his ex-wife Sharon (Letitia Dean).

And, according to reports, he could also be set to meet his SECRET SON, too!

Phew.

As long-time fans of the soap will remember, Grant had a very iffy relationship with Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully).

After a one-night-stand, she fell pregnant and fled to the states without telling Grant that he was set to be a father.

She named her little boy Mark (after her brother) and raised the boy in the USA.

Nowadays, he’s 20-years-old and allegedly set to return to England so that he can attend his Uncle Martin (James Bye)’s wedding to Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner).

Which places him in Walford around the same time his estranged father, Grant, arrives.

Could the hardest Mitchell of them all finally be about to discover the truth?

"There is so much history with the Mitchells," a source told The Mirror.

"But bosses aren't giving anything away about what they have in store for them."

EastEnders is on BBC One tonight at 7.30pm.
