Johnny and Linda Carter's lives are in danger in EastEnders following an upcoming car crash

Just when we thought there was enough drama for the Carter family there's more danger ahead as two members of the family may be left fighting for their lives

EastEnders isn't named one of the biggest soaps for nothing and they're about to prove why because in upcoming scenes Linda and Johnny lives will be put in danger following a horrific car crash.

The Carter family have been through a lot of drama recently; Linda has finally returned to the square after being away forever, Whitney and Mick are still making everyone feel uncomfortable with their lingering stares, oh and Whitney revealed she's getting married to Woody Woodward.

But in shocking images that have emerged, it appears that an ambulance has smashed into a lorry which resulted in it flipping over to its side.Linda and Johnny are pictured looking bloody and injured but to make matters worse, Mick's son has a bandage around his chest and an IV drip attached to him.

In the photos obtained by The Sun, Linda is also seen climbing out the back of the ambulance and Jack Branning's hanging over the ambulance door.

We've already revealed that Linda will soon discover that her husband Mick has shared a few kisses with her daughter-in-law Whitney. We doubt the Carter's need any more drama but EastEnders bosses have teased that the upcoming scenes, due to be aired in September, will be part of a huge event that's set to change Walford forever.

Earlier this year, EastEnders' former boss Sean O'Connor hinted that the upcoming storyline is set to be explosive. He told Metro: "What we are planning will be electric.

"It will involve all of the main characters – both new and legacy characters, nobody has been left out. We’re all very excited about it."

He continued: "No show has ever attempted what we’re planning to do in the next few months.

"It’s massively ambitious – and crucially – it's something that only EastEnders would or could do."

Eek!

We can't wait to see what's in store for the square.

Will Linda survive? Will Johnny get through in incident? Why is Jack Branning at the crash?

SO MANY QUESTIONS.
