Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and his wife, Linda (Kellie Bright), were left in shock when they discovered their baby son, Ollie, had stopped breathing.

EastEnders viewers watched as the soap couple rushed their baby boy to hospital, where it was revealed that he had suffered a bleed on the brain after being accidentally knocked from his highchair by Lee (Danny-boy Hatchard) and Nancy (Maddy Hill).

The family have since had to face the possibility that little Ollie may be brain damaged, not to mention endure the pain and humiliation of being investigated by social services.

And, on Thursday 31st March, we soon see signs that Ollie may have been left permanently altered by his fall.

Viewers will watch as a devastated Linda sings her little boy his favourite nursery rhyme, only to have him rest in a very strange way.

She soon confides in Sharon (Letitia Dean), telling her friend that Ollie hasn’t been acting the same since his accident.

After meeting with a health visitor about her son, Linda soon joins Mick for an emotional visit to the doctor to discuss Ollie’s condition.

And, after the visit, the mum-of-four calls an urgent family meeting.

The subject of the meeting is not, however, Ollie’s health, but the fact that Mick is continuing to blame Nancy for his baby son’s condition.

Linda gets tough with her husband, telling him to mend his bridges with Nancy and to stop driving their daughter away.

But, as everyone gathers together, will Mick be able to swallow his feelings and embrace his daughter once again?

Or will his anger continue to tear the family apart?

EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC One.
