Tuesday night's EastEnders got fans worked up into a frenzy of speculation as Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) let slip a not-actually-very-subtle-at-all clue that her mum Tanya (Jo Joyner) could be heading back to Albert Square.

During a conversation with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) and Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner), Lauren confessed to really missing her mum and being disappointed that Tanya hadn't met baby Louis yet.

While reminiscing about how Tanya and Max used to go to pub quizzes when she was little, Lauren said: "We've been doing those video chat calls so she can see Louis, but it's just not the same, is it?

"She's never properly met him."

Jane also piped up about her BFF Tanya, saying she owed her a phone call.

All the Tanya-talk didn't go unnoticed by fans.

Now, we know after Max's mysterious conversation with the weird old geezer up the Shard last week that he has revenge on his mind – and possibly his eye on The Vic.

Could we really be seeing Max and Tanya as the new landlord and lady of the pub? And where would that leave the Carters? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Tanya was last seen in Walford two years ago during Live Week, when she asked Jane the now infamous question: "How's Adam?"

Here's a reminder of that very special moment.

Oh Tan.

We really hope she's on her way back!
