Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads on Friday night after some unusual scenes aired on the soap.
Viewers were left saddened after favourite James Barton passed away following a car crash.
The horrific accident saw his estranged wife Emma Barton fling him from a bridge and later squeeze a tube on his life support machine in a bid to speed up his death.
Fellow villagers Aaron Dingle, Paddy Kirk and Rhona Goskirk also suffered nasty injuries as a result of the crash and came close to dying.
But they mysteriously made a miraculous recovery and were fit enough to attend James’ burial despite losing dangerous amounts of blood.
The speed of their recovery left viewers baffled as to how this was possible.
One person tweeted: "Either Rhona and Aaron have amazing powers of recovery, or James was buried a month after he died."
Another wrote: "Top work by everyone @emmerdale but how quick have some recovered to get to the funeral?!"
And another viewer posted: "Either people in Emmerdale heal faster than normal humans or James had his funeral months later!"
