Emmerdale bosses are not holding back on us.

First we had Holly Barton tragically die after a heroin overdose, then we realised Emma Barton was going to keep her husband James captive in their house and now we have to prepare for 'at least one' death next week.

Eeeeeeek.

Emmerdale recently released an eerie trailer which showed the potential characters who could die; Aaron Dingle, Robert Sugden, Rhona Goskirk, Paddy Kirk, Pierce Harris, Marlon Dingle, Ashley and Laurel Thomas and Emma and James Barton.

And next week Emmerdale viewers will have to say goodbye to at least one of these popular characters.

Emmerdale’s producer Iain MacLeod previously revealed: “There’s a massive week coming up in October.

“There’s a couple of soaps firsts in it, in terms of the stories we are telling and the way it is being shot.”

And now it has been announced that next week’s episodes will take place on the same day but will show the day play out from different characters’ perspectives.

Emmerdale fans will be teased during Monday nights episode which will show villagers mourn at somone's funeral but viewers will have to wait until Friday to find out which resident has died.

Monday – Robron

Monday’s episode will focus on one of our favourite soap couples relationship Robron – aka Robert and Aaron. Robert plans to propose to his boyfriend but things aren’t going to go to plan as Lachlan White becomes suspicious of Robert’s relationship with newcomer Rebecca White (Chrissie’s sister).

Things take a turn for the worst when Aaron puts Lachlan into his car boot over hearing him threaten Robert and when the crazy teen escapes from the car Robron chase him to a cliff edge... But what will happen next?

Tuesday – Rhona Goskirk, Paddy Kirk, Pierce Harris, Marlon Dingle

Tuesday’s episode will focus on Paddy, Rhona, Pierce and Marlon.

When Pierce discovers Rhona has lied to him about her whereabouts his jealousy gets worse, will he be tempted to murder someone?

Wednesday – Emma and James Barton

Wednesday's episode will focus on James and Emma’s twisted relationship. They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and Emma is one scorned woman after finding out that James has been unfaithful.

James is currently housebound because of his leg injury and it looks like he may never leave the house if Emma has anything to do with it.

Bill Ward (who plays James) has explained after his character has another accident: “Emma tells James to wait for an ambulance, but he realises it’s not coming when it doesn’t turn up.

“He also sees Emma out of the window, stamping on his phone and throwing it in the nettles.

“That’s when James realises things may be more serious than he thought.”

Eek!

We know James will be leaving the show soon but will he escape in time or has Emma had enough of her husband?

Thursday – Ashley and Laurel Thomas

It’s Dotty’s christening day but unfortunately Ashley’s dementia continues to deteriorate to the point where in the middle of the service he forgets who Dotty is.

We already know the village vicar will be leaving the show soon, so will he take drastic actions following his illness?

Friday – Emmerdale’s funeral

Unlike the rest of the week, on Friday Emmerdale viewers will discover which villager has died.

A Emmerdale insider has hinted: “The four stories featuring this week ultimately converge in a terrible event, which will only be revealed in explosive detail as we near the climax of the week.”

WE CAN’T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEKS EPISODES!

If it’s anything like Hollyoaks' Point of View Week which saw Sienna Blake found guilty of murdering Patrick (even though she was covering for her daughter Nico) we know it’ll be amazing.

Who do you think will die next week?

The big weeks starts Monday 17 at 7pm on ITV.
