Former EastEnders star Joseph Shade facing child sex charges

A former EastEnders actor is facing child sex charges.

Joseph Shade, 23, who played Ian Beale’s son on the BBC show from 1998 to 2004, has been charged with sex offences and is accused of abusing four girls.

He has been charged with sexual activity with a girl, inciting sexual activity with a girl and with abuse of a position of trust.

Joseph was working as a youth worker and was charted by Norfolk police’s Child Abuse Investigation Uniit, according to the Eastern Daily Press.

A police spokesperson told The Sun on Sunday that the alleged offences happened between December 2012 and March 2015.

The former actor appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on November 18 and did not enter a plea.

He was bailed to appear at Norwich Crown Court on December 16.
