Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have been on their summer break from Good Morning Britain for the past couple of months.

But the co-hosts are set to return to the show next Monday, after Richard Madeley, Eamonn Holmes and Jeremy Kyle stepped in.

We don't know about you, but we've quite enjoyed the calm relief of the stand-in presenters whilst loudmouth Piers has been away!

And it seems as though Susanna agrees with us, as she said she was preparing to be in the same room as Piers again.

She said: "After a calm and peaceful break, I'm sharpening my wits and gearing up for being back in the hot seat next to the only man in Britain who could start an argument in an empty room.

"We live in interesting times and it'll be good to be back in the newsroom bringing events to our GMB viewers."

Piers himself had this to say: "Bad news, Britain... I'm back on Monday morning and raring to go like a ravenous leopard. Albeit one with three broken ribs. Brace yourselves - it's going to be lively."

Piers is known for being something of an opinionated person, and doesn't hold back on issues that are somewhat sensitive.

He loudly expressed his opinions over Kori Doty, who is raising their child as non-binary - not being defined as having a gender.

He also came to blows with a mum he branded "lazy" after she left her five-year-old child at home on their own.

But he does also seem to be able to admit when he's wrong, something he proved after apologising for the nasty comments he made about Ariana Grande.

We wonder if some time off has chilled Piers out?

...Nah!
