Holly Willoughby wowed fans with a royally impressive selfie on Tuesday.

The This Morning presenter left some fans stunned as she took a photo of herself standing alongside Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The bubbly 35-year-old mid-morning TV presenter looked pretty pleased as she smiled alongside a pearl necklace and festive jumper-wearing Queen.

"Favourite selfie!!! #savethechildren #christmasjumperday," Holly wrote as she uploaded the photo to Instagram.

And she sparked quite the reaction on social media, gathering thousands of likes – and hundred of comments – minutes after it went online.

"Is this the actual queen?" one fan commented, while another simply exclaimed: "The Queen!" (although that may have just been in regards to Holly, to be fair).

But other fans appeared more rational – and pointed out that it was much more likely to be a waxwork.

"You do all realise it's a waxwork right," one fan commented on the social media app – with another saying: "Like The Queen would actually turn up at the ITV Studios!"

Last month, Holly posed with another famous face – this time the real kind – as she convinced former X Factor contestant Honey G to pose with her for an Instagram video.

Meanwhile, Holly recently also introduced her fans to some new additions to her family.

On This MorningThis Morning with Phil, she said: "Please welcome the new members of the Willoughby family – Teddy and Bluebell... Named by my children I might add, but I was quite happy with those names. I thought they did quite well when you think what it could have been."

"They are really good, they have been really sweet. Teddy is a bit sniffly snuffly and then Bluebell fell asleep somewhere and we couldn't find her and she had fallen asleep in the Christmas tree."

Holly and her family are clearly in kitten heaven, just in time for Christmas, which is bound to cheer everyone up – after Holly's beloved Roxy passed away last month.

At the time the family found it very difficult dealing with the death of such a big part of their family – Holly confessed that telling her children their cat had passed away was one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do.

Fans were quick to comment on Instagram when Holls uploaded photos, saying how cute the kittens are.

Beechbun said: "They are beautiful. I have 4 ragdoll cats of my own. 2 girls and 2 boys," while bondkl1 commented: "Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel too cute, beautiful fur babies."

However, others who have experience of the breed warned Holly her Christmas tree might be in danger: "Be careful with your Christmas trees @hollywilloughby" said coco-eliabeth_gibb, who suggested the presenter hisses like a cat if the kittens start to climb up it! Apparently ragdoll cats like to climb as high up as they can.

Another fan suggested Holly buy a tower to let them indulge their urge to climb without ruining the furniture!

It seems ragdolls certainly have strong characters – clairekidd20 said: "Oh they look sweet now but my ragdoll was the devil in a lovely fluffy coat!"

Watch out the Willoughby household! We look forward to updates on the antics of Bluebell and Teddy...
