Hollyoaks viewers were left aghast when the whole Osborne family just vanished into thin air earlier in November. Returning character O.B even joined a determined Cindy and Grace to try and track down their whereabouts.

And now the mystery of why the Osborne's have spent the last few months in a safe house is finally starting to unravel as tonight's episode saw flashbacks of Jack and Billy as children - revealing that Jack once killed a boy and blamed Billy for his crime.

Jack's crimes led Billy - who was played by Games Of Thrones star Clive Russell - to spend a life in prison away from his family.

Viewers will already know that Billy's daughter Eva Falco has been seeking revenge on Jack.

It's all starting to make sense now, right?

We all saw Jack reveal his painful past to his family and after they were appalled by his big secret, Jack returned to Hollyoaks to face Eva but in a dramatic showdown Esther Bloom ended up being shot.

Eva and Liam Donovan are now on the run from police but Jack has also called the police - does this mean he about to confess to his crimes of the past?
