Just when you thought you’d seen the last of Mercedes, she only winds up coming back from the dead!
The Hollyoaks favourite was killed off in dramatic scenes back in November, when gangster Grace Black stabbed her in a frenzied knife attack, before dragging her corpse out of the house.
But as ever, things are never that straightforward in soap land, and now it seems as if Mercedes McQueen, played by the gorgeous Jennifer Metcalfe, survived the ordeal.
In fact scenes from Thursday night’s first look episode have shown that, far from being a lifeless corpse, Mercedes has been busy enjoying life in a luxury villa on the French Rivieria.
So how did this all come about?
Well, turns out that after being stabbed, Mercedes agrees to help Grace to set up Freddie Roscoe for her murder.
But then in a strange twist, Grace seems to send Freddie’s brother Joe to the French Riviera to find Mercedes... alive.
What does it all mean? All will be revealed this week on Hollyoaks.
