There's some HollyoaksChristmas romance in store for Ryan Knight (Duncan James) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) after they share a passionate kiss after Ryan is kicked out by his fiance Amy Barnes following an outburst agaisnt meddling Leah.
And it looks like Mercedes, who was dealt another load of heatbreak last month when her long-time love Joe Roscoe fell to his death after a terrifying fire at the Halloween fair, is about to find some comfort in Ryan's arms.
But how far will these two go? And will it be the final nail in the coffin for Ryan and Amy's engagement?
Hollyoaks' winter trailer featured a sneaky glimpse of the two characters in bed together - so are we looking at the start of another steamy Hollyoaks affair?
The chemistry is paramount between the pair after Ryan finds himself alone with Mercedes as she plans a night in with Goldie. Unable to resist a flirty Mercedes, Ryan soon finds himself in her arms and the pair share a passionate kiss.

This week also saw Mercedes McQueen finally get justice for Joe Roscoe on Friday evening - as his ex-girlfriend Joanne Cardsley was arrested by police after she had been the one who stopped the ferris wheel on Halloween, meddling with the mechanics of the ride.
Joanne was arrested by the plice and has now left the show - but the who plays her, Rachel Leskovac, hopes the character will be reformed in prison.
"I have absolutely loved every minute of filming on Hollyoaks," she said.
"It has been one of the most fun times of my career and I've made some friends for life."
