The Celebrity Big Brother runner-up was confronted by panelist Coleen Nolan, over comments she made on Linda Nolan's weight in 2014.
The Nolans singer Linda, who took part in the thirteenth series of CBB last year, was the target of Hopkins' weight jokes- which didn't go well with sister Coleen.
Confronting the mother-of-three, Coleen said:
'When my sister was in Big Brother you constantly, day in, day out, went on about how "fat" she was.
'[Saying],"I wish she'd put her fat arm away, I wish she'd pick up her very droopy breasts. She looks like an old person that smells of urine."
'As a family, that was very hard. Can you imagine someone saying that about you?'
However 39-year-old Hopkins refused to back down, retorting:
'I get insults every day – I accept what people throw at me.
'If you put yourself out there on TV you have to expect people won’t like you.'
When Coleen was left speechless, fellow columnist Janet Street-Porter chimed in, asking:
'Do you think talking about a cancer victim having a droopy breast is constructive?'
However Katie refused to get drawn into the debate, responding abruptly:
'We could talk about this for the next 15 minutes or move it on.'
The brief interview came to an awkward conclusion, but Katie ensured she had the last word yesterday.
Taking to Twitter she cheekily tweeted at Coleen:
"@NolanColeen super lovely to meet you today. You might enjoy & benefit from #MyFatStory available on iTunes."
Coleen, who hasn't used her account since last year, has yet to respond.
Despite Katie usually being the villain, many viewers accused the panel of bullying Katie yesterday.
