Loose Women will not be on television today because of ITV News

It was only recent that Loose Women was cancelled on one of the most important days of the year – International Women's Day and now it has been cancelled AGAIN.

Earlier today Theresa May announced that she wants to hold a snap general election on 8 June. Outside Downing Street, she said: "We need a general election and we need one now.

"I have only recently and reluctantly come to this conclusion but now I have concluded it is the only way to guarantee certainty for the years ahead."

Following the announcement, Loose Women has revealed today's episode will be cancelled. Announcing the news on Twitter, they wrote: "Due to @Number10gov making the general election announcement today, Loose Women will NOT be on air as @itvnews brings you all the latest."

Luckily though they revealed they'll be back on air tomorrow as usual.

Phew.

It seems that up until recent the show was planned to go ahead and they even tweeted they're excited for one of their guests Megan Mullally's appearance but they have now rescheduled Megan and Jimmy Constable's interviews for a later date.

It seems fans of the show have mixed reviews on the schedule change.
