Lorraine Kelly is famous for her sensible demeanour and mother hen nature, but the presenter made a rather surprising confession on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man show.
Joining him as part of his Chatty Man Christmas special, the 56-year-old reminisced about her younger days in the industry.. and admitted she had a naughty moment.
"Well I went out for lunch, as you do, and then we had a few drinks," the mother-of-one revealed.
"In the past maybe, but not so much now. I am a responsible person but yes in the past I might have had one or two drinks in my life.”
"Now this is a long time ago. This was before I was a responsible mother, and we went out and we just sort of kept drinking.
"The trouble with me is that I have got this terrible work ethic...I don’t pull sickies. I should have just phoned in and said I’m not well and not coming in but I came in.
"Only once and it was a long time ago."
Luckily the Glaswegian-born lass managed to pull it off, adding:
"A long time ago, and nobody noticed. Which I thought was quite good.”
You have to love Lorraine- I bet she’s made the Scottish proud!
