Viewers were left riled after EastEnders star Tameka Empson and TV presenter Laura Whitmore faced the dreaded Strictly Come Dancing dance on Sunday night – despite both of them earning themselves good scores from the judging panel. Yes, even from Craig Revel Horwood.

Ed Balls and Naga Manchetty found themselves safe even though their ‘average’ dances left them both of them at the bottom of the leader board.

Despite suffering from a bad back, Tameka put everything into the dance off (performing a Tango to The Heat is On from Beverley Hills Cop) – but it just wasn’t enough, even though Darcey Bussell fought for the actress to stay in the competition.

Speaking directly after her elimination, she said:

“I have enjoyed my time immensely I really have. The costume, the hair, everybody. There are just so many people. Every department shows a lot of love and you guys watch it at home but it’s really lovely to be a part of it and I’m grateful so thank you.”

However, die-hard Strictly and EastEnders fans were not pleased with the results – especially after Melvin O’doom was caught up in controversy last week after no dance off occurred.

Some viewers accused the show (and the viewers) of racism, as two black contestants were the first to be voted off:

One things for sure though, Tameka will definitely be missed by all – especially her fellow celebrity dancers.
