It’s all about the points scoring in this series

It was rumoured earlier this year that Simon Cowell would be switching up the way acts were judged on The X Factor. And now this rumour appears to have come true.

Today a picture emerged of Cheryl giving a pep talk to her act Alien Uncovered on The X Factor stage and behind them, on a big screen, are the most obvious signs of a change.

On the screen there appear to be two big lines. The first has ‘Vocal Score’ written on it, while the second has ‘Performance Score’. Fans of the show who saw the picture also noted that there were four boxes underneath each line, meaning that the judges may be scoring the acts out of ten – a visual which would then be projected onto the screen. How interesting.

The first of the live shows starts tomorrow on ITV – with Ben Haenow set to perform. On Sunday, Ellie Goulding and Little Mix will be taking to the stage.

We cannot wait!

Chezza went for vintage vibes in her scalloped Valentino mini paired with some '80s inspo in the form of Gucci heeled loafers. Obviously her signature brunette beehive made an appearance too

Caz works a cute leather mini with a jumper by A-list fave brand, Bella Freud and hot orange platforms. Her beachy bob and arm candy in the form of lovely Olly top her look off perfectly

The queen of quirky chose a sparkling Versace mini dress teamed with classic Louboutins for her debut as a judge.  Showing off a new uber bleached hair colour and plenty of bling, we expected nothing less from the singer

Someone's been busy watching Orange Is The New Black! Rochelle's juicy suede shirt dress is by none other than Victoria Beckham and cost her over a grand. We love it, but not enough to fork out our life savings, thanks. Roch works it though with her chic black strappies and super sleek locks
