The Strictly Come Dancing final kicks off this Saturday night, so three Closer writers have battled it out to argue which of the three finalists should get their hands on that coveted glitter ball trophy.

I think year's series of Strictly Come Dancing has been better than all the rest; not only has it been head judge Len Goodman's very last – meaning more awful jokes, more laughs and less critique - but it's also been one of most entertaining, thrilling and engaging series of all time.

I've tuned into every single episode, every single It Takes Two and followed all the celebrities Strictly journeys on Instagram...

And do you know what would make this series even more memorable for me? If Louise Redknapp waltzed away the WINNER.

Here's why the smiliest lady in Strictly land should lift that famous glitterball! Do it for the gals Lou Lou...

Her confidence has shot through the ROOF

The former Eternal singer was every single one of us when she first set foot on that dance floor – scared to compete with the likes of leggy Daisy Lowe, scared of looking like a bit of an idiot, having an intense fear of just forgetting all of those fiddly steps...

And despite training-room struggles and backhanded compliments from the judges – Louise had shined from the start, despite doubts in her head saying she was never good enough. She recently revealed that she very nearly quit the show after the very first live show.

Louise, 42, admitted that her nerves got the better of her at the beginning, telling The Daily Mirror that she didn't think she could compete with the other female dancers:

"That first day they were all just so gorgeous and confident and they had their dresses on and they were all tight and short and I just remember thinking ‘I can’t do this, I can’t go through with this, I can’t compete with these girls. I don’t want to."

I reckon Week 1 Louise would be extremely proud of Final Louise, don'tcha think?

A woman hasn't won for AGES

OK so I'm not trying to play the sex card here, but we haven't had a female winner so deserving of that glitterball since Caroline Flack won back in 2014. Do it for the girls Lou Lou!

Her smile lights up the whole entire room

Louise is possibly the smiliest contestant we've ever had the pleasure of seeing whizz round that dance floor, so much so that her partner Kevin Clifton has to work extra hard to tone down her grin in the more serious dances like the Paso and the Tango.

And how amazing was she in both of those? The lady is versatile and takes on every style that's thrown her way.

What would be rather see on a Saturday night? A woman having the time of her life on that dance floor or Danny Mac's six pack? Ok, it's a hard one but we'd pick Louise's grin all day long...

She doesn't know how good she is

Louise's husband Jamie Redknapp, her dance partner Kevin Clifton, her kids, her fellow celebrities, the judging panel and everyone at home know how good Louise is on the dance floor.

But the one person who doesn't is her, wouldn't it be so amazing if she proved to herself that she's a winner?

She makes mistakes and she corrects them

Louise hasn't been as consistent as others this series and she's shown that she's not afraid to put a foot wrong. No one is perfect. She'll just work harder in training so she can wow us even more next time.

Our Louise is full of surprises.

You think Kevin and Louise's Week 7 Argentine Tango was pure perfection? I can guarantee you that she'll work her bum off even harder to make sure she gets that ten from Craig in the final!

Her Argentine Tango was amaaaaaaazing

So was her Flashdance inspired Cha Cha. And her Harley Quinn inspired Charleston. Like we really fancy her. A lot. She was named FHM's "Sexiest Woman of the Decade" in 2004 for a reason, folks.

Because Kevin is just the best

Kevin Clifton has always been a firm fan favourite on Strictly, and despite being in the last TWO finals (with Kellie Bright and Frankie Bridge) Kevin has never ever got his hands on that Strictly sparkly trophy.

This year, he's up against his little sister Joanne Clifton (who's partnered with Ore) in what will be the closest and most competative year to date...

Do it for Grimsby lad!

Do you think Louise and Kevin should walk away winners? They've had one hell of a 'journey', huh?
