Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace have celebrated Christmas early by performing their own version of the Pogues’ Christmas classic Fairytale of New York.
The stars, who appeared in EastEnders as Kat and Alfie Moon, sung a gender-swapped version of the song for Channel 5’s Lip Sync Battle UK.
Show bosses have released a preview clip of the pair ahead of the episode’s scheduled air time tonight.
In the clip, Shane sings to Jessie: “You were handsome,” and she responds: “You were pretty.”
Along with the video, a caption was posted which read: “Fancy an early Xmas present? Here’s a sneak preview of tonight’s show… Catch it tonight at 10.35pm. #LipSyncBattleUK.”
In the video they can be seen sitting in front of the fire enjoying a drink as the audience sings along while dressed in Santa costumes.
Even host and Spice Girl Mel B can be seen joining in as she’s dressed in a festive outfit.
The Christmas special of Lip Sync Battle UK will be shown tonight at 10.35pm on Channel 5.
