The newest animation to hit the big screen by Disney made $73.7 million in its opening weekend, according to The Guardian, making $6.4 million more than Frozen’s opening weekend in December 2013.
Zootropolis, known as Zootopia in the USA, is about a city full of different animals and Judy Hopps becomes the first rabbit to join to police force. Finding it difficult to enforce the law, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case, but that means working with Nick Wilde, a sly fox who makes her job a lot harder.
There’s an all star cast in Disney’s newest movie including Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba and even Shakira, who sung one of the songs from the film which is soon to be a sure hit!
The family-friendly film has already received great reviews, and now it looks like it could be in the running to beat fan favourite, Frozen.

Zootropolis will be out in the UK on March 25th, just in time for the Easter break!
