How to get bigger lips from lip contouring

We’ve lost count of the number of things we’ve learnt to contour in the last year.

From our cheeks to our decolletage, it seems you’re not party ready until you’ve added some shadow and highlights to the designated area.

And apparently the way we should be doing the perfect autumn red lip - a la Marilyn Monroe - is by, you guessed it, contouring our lips too.

Apparently Marilyn would apply several shares of lip colour and gloss to create a fuller, more luscious lip (not dissimilar from what Kylie Jenner does these days).

Here’s how you do it:

1.) Exfoliate your lips with a salt sugar stub or a dry toothbrush.

2.) Line your lips with the darkest colour, creating your desired shape

3.) Using a brick red colour liner, fill in your lips with the pencil using small, short strokes from the outline into the centre of the lips.

4.) Next, use a bright red to blend the colours together, but do not go too near the outline of the lips as that needs to appear darker still.

5.) Using a cream highlighter, apply it to the centre of your bottom lip, which will make it appear more fill and glossy.

6.) Use a lip sealant or gloss to set the entire look. And you’re done! Marilyn worthy lips in an instant.
