Wizards and witches of the UK, get your cape on for an immersive Harry Potter experience like no other! This bank holiday weekend, the folks at Sneaky Experience are hosting a Potter extravaganza at Lancaster Castle that will knock your hats off.

Starting this Thursday evening, the five-day event includes an outdoor cinema that will screen all the movies along with a chance to experience new tricks from the Ministry of Magic.

Tickets start at £14.50 for a child, £17.50 for an adult and £55 for a family pass.

Julia Benfield, director of Sneaky Experience, said: “We are thrilled to be able to bring this event to Lancaster Castle, as the history and spectacular backdrop is the perfect setting for our cast of witches and wizards.

“Our events are delivered in a unique and exciting way, which engage with audiences of all ages, who immerse themselves in the entertainment, adding to the fun.”

If you fancy a bit of ‘muggle magic’, there’s a whole timetable of spells, charms and curses at the castle’s own School of Wizardry. There’s even a bit of dark arts and herbalism to keep Snape fans on their toes.

Outside you’ll been entertained by fire-breathers, a stilt-walking phoenix, a talking photo frame and a few snowy owls (alas, not poor Hedwig).

Independent food stalls will keep you well fuelled along with a Muggles café and Sneaky Cauldron Bar for over 18s.

With tickets sold out for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, you can skip the West End this weekend and head for the Lancashire countryside. Fancy dress is encouraged so wands and broomsticks at the ready folks!
