Harry Potter fans, the day has finally come where you could move into the house where it all began.
That’s right, the fictional Number 4 Privet Drive (actually in Picket Post Close, Martins Heron in Bracknell, near Reading) is now on the market.
In 2001 the house was picked to be the home of Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and Dudley Dursley where little Harry was dropped at the doorstep in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
However, due to logistical problems the house only ever featured in one of the eight films and the whole street was recreated in a studio for later use.
But for ultimate Potterheads, the newly refurbished home is now on the market for £475,000.
For nearly half a million you can get three bedrooms, a family bathroom, newly laid drive and a landscaped back garden with large patio area, amongst other refurbishments according to Rightmove.
And the house in Bracknell wasn’t the only location in the area used for the Harry Potter films.
According to Get Reading, Swinley Forest was used for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as a 10-year-old once found a call sheet for the film whilst out walking his dogs with his parents in June 2009.
The house previously went on sale in 2010 where it sold for £290,000, but it seems to have increased in price since the completion of the Harry Potter films.
