There has been a 'major breakthrough' in the Madeleine McCann case
In more Madeleine McCann news, the eight part documentary called The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann aired on Netflix recently. However Kate and Gerry McCann spoke out in a statement and revealed the reason they've not taken part in it.
Their spokesperson Clarence Mitchell said: "“The production company told us that they were making the documentary and asked us to participate. But they want nothing to do with it.
"We did not see and still do not see how this programme will help the search for Madeleine and, particularly given there is an active police investigation, could potentially hinder it.
"Consequently, our views and preferences are not reflected in the programme. We will not be making any further statements or giving interviews regarding this programme."
