Days after appearing on Lorraine Kelly’s chat show, nurse Pauline Cafferkey was readmitted to hospital suffering with Ebola.
The relapse came 9 months after she first contracted the virus after returning from duty in Western Africa.
Now concerns have been raised over whether Lorraine Kelly and her crew have been put at risk following the 39-year-old’s hospitalisation.
Over 60 people were ordered to seek medical help after coming in contact with the courageous nurse.
ITV have confirmed that there is ‘no risk’ to those working on the breakfast show much to everyone’s relief.
A spokesman for the channel said in a statement: “Public health officials have informed us that there is no risk to anyone that came into contact with Pauline at ITV.”
A spokesperson for the Royal Free Hospital in London revealed that there had been ‘no change’ in Ms Cafferkey’s condition.
They said: “She is critically ill and being treated in the high level isolation unit.”
It was reported that the Prime Minister’s wife Samantha Cameron had been urged to contact doctors after she met Ms Cafferkey 11 days before she fell ill again.
Authorities have assured that there is no Ebola risk to the general UK public.
